space tourism blog(part 4)

The implementation of space tourism will happen in several phases:

-Pioneering phase:
To describe this first phase, let us mention the phrase "space adventure travel", mentioned by Gordon Woodcock. This is a convenient phrase to describe the pioneering phase. It means, that relatively few customers will travel to space, and prices will be high. Services in this phase could be described as close to "adventure travel". Orbital accomodiation will be safe and not too comfortable.

The Mature Phase will see the falling of travel prices and the growing numbers of passengers. Orbital facilities will be scaled from clusters of pre-fabricated modules to a range of orbital entertainements.

In Mass Phase period the ticket prices will fall to the equivalent of few thousand  dollars. The number of passengers will grow from hundreds of thousands to millions of passengers per year.
Space tourism will open up the space to a wide range of human activities.(to be continued)
